It’s been a roller coaster month for Nicki Minaj, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming fourth studio album Queen.
The album’s lead single “Chun-Li” recently vaulted into the top 10 of the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking her 30th effort to do so. This makes her the woman with the most top 10 hits on the chart, surpassing Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige, each standing at 29. Just last week, Minaj was announced as a performer at the BET Awards (airing June 24th). Only a few days later, news broke that Minaj is slated to headline (alongside Post Malone) the 2018 Made in America festival (taking place in September).
To continue the streak of good news for the #Barbz, Minaj took to Twitter to reveal the album artwork for Queen. Minaj captioned the revealing cover art by saying “My greatest work to date. Thank you for your patience & love. Pre-Order next week.”
The artwork shows a pensive Minaj seductively posing on a fallen tree trunk, wearing pasties and Egyptian beads. The photo was taken by “the legendary” fashion photographers Mert and Marcus, as Minaj described.
After an initial pushback, the album is set to drop August 10. Take a look at the album cover, below:
