Mustard kicked off 2019 by teaming up with the Migos for the club-friendly “Pure Water.” The buzzy tune has spent five weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, where it currently sits at No. 52. After what seems like weeks of teasing, the 10 Summers CEO returns to deliver a “Pure Water” video, splattered in paint.
The Collin Tilley-directed clip finds the foursome draped in all-white attire, as massive paint-filled balls fly around them. The Migos stay out of harm’s way, avoiding the exploding paintballs being launched in just about every direction while spitting their verses.
Quavo previously detailed how the tune came together to Billboard. “I was in Los Angeles and he hit my phone and told me to come to the studio. I just went on a spree and made like seven songs in two days. That’s the one he picked out and we put everyone on it,” Huncho explained.
The “WORKIN ME” rapper says there’s definitely more to come between the ATL trio and Mustard. “He really wanted to do a Migos and Mustard project with all the music I had did that day. We’re just wrapping up a lot of shit. When I pull up, I pull up and work. I’ll drop a whole bunch of records off,” Quavo said. “There’s a lot more in the stash.”
“Pure Water” is expected to land on Mustard’s upcoming album. Watch the video below.
