In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the singer spoke about his relationship with Frank Ocean, whom he famously lost a Grammy to in 2013. “I wouldn’t say we were friends,” he told the Times. “To be completely honest — and no disrespect to anyone — I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around.
“It’s interesting,” he continued, speaking about the frequent comparisons between his music, Ocean’s, and The Weeknd‘s, “but we’ll see who’s in it for the long haul. It’s like a marathon, you know?”

Miguel and Ocean will likely be in a Grammy race again this year, as the former has just released his third album Wildheart and the latter has promised new music this July.
