The feud between Migos and Joe Budden seemingly died down following the pre-show interview at this year’s BET Awards that quickly went awry, but not everyone has moved on. Migos reignited their spat with Budden by dissing the Everyday Struggle host in a new track titled “Ice Tray,” and even took it a step further by casting a Budden look-alike in the accompanying visuals.
Quavo teased a snippet of the Quality Control cut in a short video where he rapped, “If a n—a hating, call him Joe Budden (pussy),” leading Budden to respond, “@QuavoStuntin i am your OG & you will respect me as such.”
The Atlanta trio followed up issuing a casting call for look-alikes of the Everyday Struggle hosts, which also includes Nadeska Alexis and DJ Akademiks. Photos of the doppelgangers selected for the video surfaced over the weekend, where one photo shows all three hosts seated in a room with a sign that reads “Old Rappers Struggling” plastered on a screen behind them.
DJ Akademiks didn’t seem too bothered by the diss and joked that he too put in an application to play himself in Migos’ upcoming visual. “I lowkey applied to play myself in the Migos video…and they aint pick me,” Akademiks tweeted. “Shit crazy out here LOL. Nadeska also laughed off the diss and tweeted, “powering through an 8-hour shift at @Beats1 today. If my Migos stunt double is really ’bout this life she should be here.”
