Fans of hip-hop and comic books can add Ghost Rider X-Mas Special Infinite to their holiday wish list. Marvel teamed up with Method Man for a Christmas-themed issue of Ghost Rider, which critics describe as a “feel-good, positive” story.
“The conversation between hip-hop and Marvel continues as one of rap’s most storied lyricists takes the Hell Charger out for a ride…”, says Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso.
Co-written by Method Man and Anthony Piper (who also illustrated), Ghost Rider X-Mas Special Infinite is about the little brother of Robbie Reyes (Ghost Rider) getting teased in school for having too much Christmas spirit. Meanwhile, the kids of East L.A. are less than excited about Santa Claus’ upcoming visit. Of course, the plot includes a villain: the evil Krampus (anti-Santa), who terrorizes the kids.
“When my Editor, Chris, hit me with the info that this would be a creative collaboration with Method Man, my hype level doubled from 10 to 20”, Piper expressed about the opportunity to collaborate with the Wu-Tang lieutenant.
Ghost Rider X-Mas Special is now available at Marvel’s Digital Comics shop.
