Meek Mill has that winning feeling. The Philly rapper and activist just dropped Championships, his first full-length album since his well-publicized release from jail earlier this year, courtesy of Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Running to 18-tracks, Championships features a roll call of hip-hop’s finest, from Drake (“Going Bad”), JAY-Z, Rick Ross (“What’s Free”) and many more.
The album isn’t just a comeback, it’s a meditation on “beating poverty, beating racism, beating the system, beating gun violence and beating the streets,” Meek told Ebro Darden at Beats 1
Championships includes the previously-released works “Oodles O’ Noodles Babies” and “Uptown Vibes” and, sticking to the sports theme, it’s Meek’s first LP since 2017’s Wins & Losses.
They’re his championships, and we’re all winners. Stream it in full below.
