A motorcycle. Red heels. Some giggling. A bluesy guitar lick. That’s almost all fans get in Mariah Carey’s video tease of “#Beautiful,” her new single with fellow singer Miguel. The new song’s due in full on May 6.
“The new era begins,” the video proclaims, as the “American Idol” judge smiles astride her bike, her hair blowing in the wind.
It’s the first new music from Carey since the “Great and Powerful Oz” soundtrack song “Almost Home” earlier this year. She hasn’t released a non-holiday album since 2009’s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Carey previously told Billboard her upcoming album would have “more raw ballads than people might expect,” with producers on the set including Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Big Jim Wright, Hit-Boy, The-Dream and Rodney Jerkins.
