Lupe Fiasco’s appetite for unconventional videos continues with his newest visual “Jump” featuring Gizzle.
The bouncy track receives a colorful and animated look, as Fiasco and Gizzle narrate a street tale over the Soundtrakk-produced beat. Donning several gold chains around this neck, Fiasco delivers his fiery verses in the clip, which also includes fire emojis, a spaceship and a contortionist dancer.
“Jump” serves as Fiasco’s second single from his sixth album Drogas Light, which featured Ty Dolla $ign, Rick Ross, and Big K.R.I.T. It also marks Fiasco’s first album released under 1st & 15th/Thirty Tigers. In February, he and Gizzle teamed up for a performance of “Jump” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Last week, Fiasco unleashed his politically charged record “Kneeling on Needles” as an ode to Colin Kaepernick. The 29-year-old quarterback still remains a free agent. Last season, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback took a bold stance by taking a knee during the national anthem.
