In honor of Mother’s Day, Ludacris teamed up with Houzz, Inc. to secretly renovate his mother Roberta’s home in Atlanta, GA for a new episode of My Houzz. The show, executive produced by Ashton Kutcher, follows individuals who remodel homes of someone special to them.
In the case of Ludacris, his mother has made a major impact on his life. In a recent VH1 special Dear Mama, the rapper noted how pivotal his mother has been in his life saying, “I believe my success is due to the fact that the first influential woman of my life would not let me believe in the odds.”
In the show, viewers learn that the house his mother resides in is the first house he bought when he became commercially successful as a rapper. The renovation is long overdue and a way for Ludacris to make his mother truly feel like she’s in her own space. Not surprisingly, there’s some influence from the rapper in the house, but ultimately he wants to make his mother happy and proud.
