You’ve likely heard a London On Da Track production — he’s worked with Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, Drake to name a few — or maybe you recognize his signature tag: “We got London on da Track h-e.” But now he’s preparing to strengthen his resume with the release of the compilation album Who Would’ve Known. The producer took to social media early Thursday morning (Aug. 24) to tease his newest track “No Flag”, enlisting Nicki Minaj, Offset and 21 Savage.
“Y’all ready,” he wrote in an Instagram post, announcing that the full record will drop later in the day (7 p.m. EST to be precise). The “No Flag” snippet previews the end of Minaj’s verse as she coasts the loopy, booming bassline firing off her signature rhyme scheme. “London got that heat though/ My jet land at Heathrow/ If I had a d–k I would make all you b—-es deep throat,” she raps. On the snippet, you can also hear Migos‘ Offset providing a catchy chorus with ad libs creeping in the background.
Speaking to Billboard about his future plans, London reveals that he wants to expand his brand beyond his producer title to show the world his artist side. “I want people to know me as a person and not just this piano guy that plays piano,” he offered. “I want people to know when they see me or hear me talk, to know my presence.”
