It’s all a part of “God’s Plan.” Drake’s chart-topping single not only earned him a bevy of accolades, including best rap song at this year’s Grammy Awards, but also caused a name change at the legendary O2 Arena. Ahead of his seven-day residency at the London venue, The O2 Arena will temporarily become The O3, as part of his Assassination Vacation Tour.
“Drake has legit turned the o2 into the o3 for his seven dates wtffff,” wrote a fan on Twitter after walking past the arena. “Drake actually turning the o2 into the o3 has made my day,” said another observer.
The official O2 account subsequently posted a tweet of their own, with photos highlighting the sudden name change. “Turn The O2 into The O3. This is God’s Plan,” reads the Drake-inspired caption.
Drake’s seven-day residency at The O3 will begin tonight and conclude April 11. Thus far, Drizzy has already touched down in Manchester, Dublin, and Birmingham during his European trek.
