Logic is back on the grind. Last week, Logic gifted fans with a fiery loosie titled “44 More” and on Wednesday (Feb. 28), the rapper surprised fans with his new song “Overnight” and the accompanying video that finds Logic touring Tokyo and Hawaii with a few friends.
While in Tokyo and Maui recording new music (presumably for an upcoming project, if his latest surprises are any indication), Logic decided to shoot an impromptu music video for “Overnight.” The light-hearted, Mike Holland, Justin Fleischer and Alec Schweitzer-directed visual opens with Logic running around the streets of Tokyo in a kimono as he boasts about making a cool $200,000 per show before adding that he uses the money to give back to his supporters.
“Overnight, people think this how this shit happened, but they never right/ Acting like they got it, they got it, but they never quite/ Seem to understand that this right here deeper than all that,” he raps on the chorus, over video game-like synths and a rapid drumbeat.
Logic’s two latest songs, “Overnight” and “44 More,” are the first taste of new music fans received from the rapper following his 2017 album Everybody and the breakout Grammy-nominated hit “1-800-273-8255.”
