Between all the lucrative endeavors he’s embarked on, Logic is ready to take his growing brand to the next level. The DMV native broke the news on Wednesday (June 19) that his Elysium Records has been renamed BobbyBoy Records, which will run as part of a joint venture with Def Jam Records.
“Def Jam has been my home for years. And now standing by them side by side as a businessman is incredible. Backing for my label to support the artists I believe in is a dream come true and I am so excited to give my fans something even more in this next chapter of my life,” Logic said in a press release. “The RattPack just got a whole lot bigger!”
Artists currently filling the roster include John Lindahl, Damian Lemar Hudson, Big Lenbo and Kajo, who have all been featured on various Logic projects in the past. “I pray everyone will support them as you have me over the years! Juggling something of this magnitude is no easy feat, but my artists make it easy,” Bobby added.
Def Jam Records chairman Paul Rosenberg fully backs Logic’s vision going forward. “Logic has proven himself to be an incredibly talented, instinctive and prolific artist, writer and producer,” Rosenberg chimed in via press release. “The success of our partnership is rooted in our collective belief in Bobby’s creative vision and his talented team. We’re proud and excited to provide a home for Logic and BobbyBoy Records.”
