
Back in 1987, LL Cool J showed rappers could get sensitive and lonely with the hit single “I Need Love.” Visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night, J shared the story of a sensual performance of the song he’s probably not too proud of.
“I was in Georgia… basically I got arrested for humping a couch,” LL Cool J says. He assured Kimmel he was simulating “making love to a girl” — not making love to a piece of furniture — as he performed “I Need Love.”

“They just felt like they didn’t need a black man humping a couch in Georgia,” he says, to which Kimmel shoots back, “Was it a white couch?”
