Lizzo came across a recent magazine feature on Mariah Carey that seemingly stopped her in her tracks.
In an interview, Carey was asked “Which up-and-coming singer should I listen to?” — to which she replied “Lizzo.”
“I got the @MariahCarey stamp of approval bitch oooooohhhh my goooooooooooooodness,” Lizzo tweeted alongside a scan of the mag’s page Saturday evening (Nov. 9).
Carey wrote back with reassuring words and a heart emoji: “You don’t need my stamp, you’re 100% that bitch!!!!”
“ilysm,” Lizzo said back to her, with a crying emoji.
