After teasing his exit from touring with Blink-182 on Thursday night, Lil Wayne provided an update to the situation via Twitter on Friday (July 12), assuring fans that he won’t be bailing on the North American trek after all.
“Yesterday was krazy! But I want all my fans to know I won’t be quitting this tour! I’m having too much fun with my bros blink-182. Bangor, ME See you tomorrow,” Weezy wrote.
The uncertainty was sparked when Wayne quit his set at the Bristow, Va., stop after just four songs, which angered fans in attendance. “Please forgive me, I am so not used to performing to a crowd and there’s not too many, you know, like still, that’s not my swag, I’m not sure how long I’m gonna be able to do this tour,” the Young Money frontman said prior to performing “Got Money.” “This might be my last night though, let’s go.”
The North American trek resumes Saturday in Bangor, Maine, with a show at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion, and the tour will continue through September.
