Fox Sports has tapped Lil Wayne for the theme song to their new show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, starring former ESPN veteran and award-winning pundit Skip Bayless alongside three-time Super Bowl champ and pro football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe. The pair will also be joined by sports radio personality Joy Taylor.
The New Orleans rapper — who has made frequent cameos on Bayless’ former home, ESPN’s First Take and SportsCenter — spun the track “No Mercy” after Bayless and the Fox Sports team sought out an edgy theme song.

“Lil Wayne has been a friend and frequent guest on my show and I’ve told him how honored I am to have such a legend create such a great song for our new show Undisputed on FS1,” Bayless tells Billboard. The love is mutual for Wayne, who says in a behind-the-scenes clip, “I like the fact that he’s super intelligent … He probably came up with the term “debate” and he can debate his ass off.”
Jingle Punks’ president and CCO, Jared Gutstadt, who wrote and produced the track for Tunechi, adds, “Knowing that Fox Sports is about to launch one of the biggest sports debate shows of all time, it’s only fitting that they partnered Jingle Punks with the biggest and most respected rapper of all time. It was absolutely astounding to see what Lil Wayne was able to bring to the table on this song.”
The full-length track, released via Cash Money Records, will also be available on iTunes within the next month. Lil Wayne is expected to appear on the show’s inaugural episode, so tune into Skip and Shannon: Undisputed when it debuts on Sept. 6 at 9:30 a.m. ET on FS1.
