Lil Wayne has some good and bad news.
Bad news first: Lil Wayne has pushed back Tha Carter V to December 9th… The first part at least.
The good news is that Tha Carter V will now be a two-part album. Weezy is breaking up the album since he recorded “too much.” He flashed a track list of 31 songs during a PSA released on Tuesday (Oct. 28).
“I recorded so many songs. I got too many songs. I worked way too much to give y’all half of it,” he said. “If I would’ve dropped the album today, it would have to be 12 or 13 songs. I refuse to cheat my fans. I refuse to cheat myself.”
Lil Wayne found a solution: “The first part of the album will be dropping Dec. 9,” he explained. “Stay tuned for the next part of the album.”
He didn’t leave fans empty-handed, either. He previewed a new song, “Gotti,” from the first part of the album, then released the Lox-produced song in its entirety:
“It’s going to be great. I fucking love it. If you don’t fucking love it you don’t love love,” Lil Wayne proclaims.
