Who would’ve thought that Lil Wayne would have beef with Birdman (a.k.a. Baby) and Cash Money Records?
Two weeks before the release of Lil Wayne’s oft-delayed album, Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne took to Twitter to tell fans that the album hasn’t and may not see the light of day because of Birdman and the label.
Lil Wayne’s e-cry for creative freedom comes months after Tyga took to Twitter in October to blame YMCMB for the delay of his album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, and “holding me hostage so I can’t release nothing.”
Lil Wayne continued to say that he wants out of Cash Money. He announced re-signing to Cash Money in April 2012. Solely based off the fact that he signed on for four more albums, Weezy has three more albums to release until he’s contractually free. Since 2012, he’s released I Am Not A Human Being II. (Perhaps that was another reason as to why he is breaking Tha Carter V into two parts.)
Representatives of Lil Wayne and Birdman have yet to respond to a request to comment.
To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it.

This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation.
