Lil Wayne‘s turn-up at a Los Angeles nightclub may have turned violent after a bouncer claimed that the rapper punched him.
According to TMZ, the New Orleans MC was hosting an afterparty with Collegrove collaborator 2 Chainz at Sunset Strip hotspot Hyde on Sunday night, where several members of Weezy’s entourage were reportedly turned away at the door. Lil Wayne was allegedly arguing with the bouncer over which crew members should be let in before eventually hitting him in the face.

Weezy’s camp denied that he had punched the Hyde employee, who mistakenly grabbed Wayne by the arm but eventually apologized. The bouncer was also said to have been taken to a hospital for treatment. TMZ reports the rapper could face a misdemeanor battery charge.
Earlier this month, Lil Wayne made headlines after suffering a set of seizures, which forced his private plan to make an emergency landing twice. “Under the guidance of his own doctors, he is now in stable condition and good spirits,” his representative said in a statement. “He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes.”
Reps for Lil Wayne and Hyde nightclub were not immediately available for comment.
