The winding journey for Lil Uzi Vert toward the release of his anticipated Eternal Atake album has been a turbulent one. “I ain’t gonna lie, the other night, I finished the last song to the album,” he relayed to the Miami crowd, before exiting the stage with an abrupt mic drop.
“So y’all ready for this motherfucking album? Nah, it don’t sound like y’all ready for my album. It sound like y’all ready for somebody else album. Y’all ready for my album? Okay, bye.”
Following a new management deal with Roc Nation, the 24-year-old returned to music in April with a pair of fresh tracks in “Sanguine Paradise” and “That’s a Rack,” the latter of which also received a visual treatment.
