Lil Uzi Vert has been tight-lipped about his music plans for the year, as he remains without an official release of his own in 2018. The 23-year-old hasn’t had his cell phone in awhile but used a friend’s to give fans an update on the status of his new music while traveling throughout Europe. According to Uzi, fresh sounds could be on the way very soon.
Posting through Instagram user @mean.w, the Philly native is “currently working on the best music in his and your life. So he does not have a phone. New music soon,” the “Sauce It Up” rapper teased, accompanied by a gallery of selfies on Sunday. Before signing off, he made sure to let fans know he actually has two iPhones and may be back with one in a few weeks.
After making major noise in 2017 with the release of his acclaimed debut album Luv Is Rage 2, it’s positive to see the Grammy-nominated artist attacking his art with the same intensity in hopes of topping what he’s already accomplished. The fashion icon made yet another cryptic Instagram post earlier Monday (April 9), explaining that he “really doesn’t exist and neither does you in the next person eyes.”
