Lil Uzi Vert may have birthed the newest viral dance challenge for 2017.
Dubbed the #LilUziVertChallenge, the latest social media phenomenon finds fans doing their best Lil Uzi Vert dance impression over his new record “XO Tour LIif3.” Known for his funky dance moves, the Philadelphia rapper flexed his skills during a NYFW event. Fans caught wind of the footage and have begun replicating his signature shoulder shimmy in a series of videos.
The TM-88-produced song has earned 6.64-plus millions of plays over the last two weeks on SoundCloud, even topping the streaming platform’s chart this week. Last year, Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” accelerated to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with help from the popular #MannequinChallenge.
So far in his budding career, Lil Uzi Vert has notched two platinum certifications, for his contributions to Migos’ Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Bad and Boujee,” and his Metro Boomin-assisted Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World single, “You Was Right.”
