Prior to making history with “Old Town Road” topping the Hot 100 for a record-setting 17th week, Lil Nas X stopped by the Twitter headquarters on Friday to take over as Twitter’s CEO for the day.
Being the social media savant that he is, his first order of business was firing current CEO Jack Dorsey and then attempting some new features and tweaks to the platform to take his viral ability to the next level. The 20-year-old then barged into a team meeting and demanded that an edit button be added to Twitter.
With his requests not going over too well, Nas X fired a bunch of employees on the floor. Not all love was lost, as the Atlanta native headed to the cafeteria and served up some paninis to the Twitter team, who also presented him with a cake celebrating his most recent Hot 100 career accomplishment.
“YEEE TF HAWWW,” he wrote Monday (July 29) after learning the record of having the longest-running No. 1 song in the country was solely his. “CANT NOBODY TELL ME NOTHINNNNNNNNNN.”
