Before Lil Nas X announced he’s taking some time off, he was filmed roaming the halls of his old high school.
“Feels good being able to walk through the halls and not get in trouble for it,” he quipped to the camera in a clip posted by CBS This Morning‘s Twitter account Sunday afternoon (Sept. 29).
The segment will be featured alongside an interview with Lil Nas X scheduled to air on the morning news show Tuesday (Oct. 1). According to the tweet, he “surprised his hometown high school in Atlanta.”

In the teaser video, Lil Nas X is seen sitting in the principal’s office, taking selfies with a bunch of fans and generally bringing a whole lot of excitement to the student body’s day.
