Lil Durk and Dej Loaf turn the PDA way up in their new love note “My Beyonce.” The Bey tribute marks one of many ear-catching collaborations set to appear on Durk’s forthcoming tape, 300 Days, 300 Nights.
“I’ve been working hard every day and creating the best music in my career thus far,” the drill rapper tells Billboard. “Expect a lot more music and collaborations from me in the near future.”
On “My Beyonce,” the Chicago rep shows off his romantic side. “I like the way she move, shawty my baby, she everything, she the truth,” an Auto-Tuned Durk sings on the hook. “Shawty my Beyonce.”
Dej reciprocates the feeling while crooning, “I was plotting for a while/ Now I got him where I want him/ They didn’t understand, none of this was planned.”
While name-dropping Queen Bey on a song isn’t exactly reinventing the wheel (Drake did it with “Girls Love Beyonce” and Will Smith’s son, Trey, with “Blame It On Beyonce”), this heart-eye-face emoji of a track will probably make Mrs. Carter proud.
