Life Dutchee unleashed his latest single on Thursday with the hard-hitting “Funk Master Flex,” an homage to the legendary Hot 97 DJ. The Brooklyn-bred MC also released the gritty visual to the Drum Heroz-produced track, which premieres with Billboard below.
The Blue Collar Gang artist didn’t hold anything back regarding the clip’s budget, bringing out the white Rolls-Royce Wraith and a baby-blue mink fur coat to ride around his neighborhood in the ultimate luxury.
Dutchee doesn’t feel there’s really any bigger flex than that, if you let him tell it. “I brought a half million dollar car to the hood for a video shoot. That’s super flexin’ if you ask me,” he asserts to Billboard.
A catchy chorus playing off the song’s title sets the tone for the rest of what’s to come. “Cartier specks, Fear of God sweats/ Ice on my neck/ Funk Master Flex,” Life Dutchee repeatedly chants through his gold grills.
