Kodak Black’s return from jail has been a triumphant one so far. Earlier this month, the 19-year-old star was even awarded two platinum plaques, for his hit singles “No Flockin'” and “Tunnel Vision.”
According to the RIAA, “Tunnel Vision” went platinum on June 7, while his 2014 song “No Flockin'” earned its certification June 9. “No Flockin'” was produced by VinnyxProd and has accrued over 100 million views YouTube, while the Metro Boomin, Southside and CuBeatz-produced “Tunnel Vision” has amassed over 70 million views.
On June 5, the Pompano Beach native was released from jail after being imprisoned for four months. Though he’ll be under house arrest for a year, the embattled star returned to the studio the day of his release and recorded “First Day Out,” which was produced by Dyryk.
Black made a great impression on the music front when he released his debut album Painting Pictures in March. Despite being in jail, he moved 71,000 units during his opening week.
