Kodak Black has faced a ton of heat after talking on Instagram Live last week about his plans to woo actress Lauren London, Nipsey Hussle’s partner, following the rapper’s fatal shooting on March 31.
On Sunday, Kodak took to Instagram Live again, this time to apologize to London while also saying he never disrespected her in the first place.
“If I disrespected you Lauren London in any shape or form, I am sorry,” Kodak began. “Even though I didn’t. Rest in peace to dude, if I disrespected Lauren London in any way even though I know I didn’t, my bad. Suck a baby dick, all you old n—as reaching, fuck y’all.”
A tidal wave of backlash hit Kodak after he professed his hopes to one day pursue London, as veteran hip-hop compatriots T.I. and The Game were just a few to condemn the 21-year-old for his tasteless comments. Power 106 host Justin Credible took a stand to completely ban Kodak Black’s music from the station. Real 92.3’s Big Boy also posted about how he wouldn’t tolerate the “Zeze” rapper’s sentiments.

The wildfire continued to spread with Charlmagne Tha God nominating Kodak Black as “Donkey of the Day” on Monday. CTG’s diatribe went on to question the selective morality of those taking a stance vehemently against Kodak when disrespecting women has been ingrained in hip-hop’s past. “We can’t act like we are mad at Kodak for disrespecting Lauren. You’re mad at Kodak for disrespecting Nipsey, and I understand that, but where is all this outrage when women are being disrespected, period?” he said.
