Just after being notified about their nomination at the 2017 Grammys — where they’re up for the best urban contemporary album award — R&B trio King filmed a short video from Tokyo, Japan, for Billboard, to discuss their reaction to their first-ever Grammy nod.
“We had just finished the last date of a four-month-long tour. and it was really cool to finish a tour, finish the last show, and then to hear this great news,” the group shares. “We’re actually in Tokyo, Japan, and we went out and partied in Shibuya.”
“We are so thrilled to be part of this process,” King say of their Grammy involvement. “There’s so much amazing music included this year that we’re just thrilled to have our debut album a part of this journey to the Grammys.”
