Kanye West‘s recent return to Twitter took a polarizing turn last week, but it seems his wife Kim Kardashian is sometimes just as taken aback by his tweets as his followers are. The reality star visited the set of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss the rapper’s recent social media antics as well as to detail the experience of daughter Chicago’s birth, who was delivered by surrogate in January.
“I didn’t even know he got his Twitter again until I started seeing tweets come in from other people retweeting him,” Kardashian said.
The mom of three then praised her experience using a surrogate to deliver Chicago, mentioning that her past two experiences delivering herself didn’t exactly go smoothly.
“The moment [the surrogate] was getting that epidural I was like, ‘thank goodness that’s not me,'” Kardashian laughed. “It was such an easy experience. My deliveries were really bad — always surgeries afterwards and crazy, scary things…It was just such a breeze.”
While mom enlisted the help of sister Kourtney for support during Chicago’s birth, she said West turned to a different pasttime.
“Kanye was in there playing Connect Four with his friends, not really paying attention,” Kardashian explained. “It’s his favorite game. He’s the best at it.”
She also recalled West’s influence on the name, which salute’s the rapper’s hometown. She complied with naming their daughter after “a place that made him, and a place he remembers his family from,” although she originally wanted to keep up the one-syllable theme following North and Saint.
Kardashian also held her tongue when DeGeneres inquired about the recent scandal involving sister Khloe Kardashian, who just gave birth to her first child in the midst of a cheating scandal surrounding her boyfriend and baby daddy Tristan Thompson.
“[Khloe’s] so strong and she’s doing the best that she can,” Kardashian gushed. “She wanted to have some alone time with the baby and figure out what her next steps are.”
