After doling out his collaborative effort Kids See Ghost with his G.O.O.D. Music cohort Kanye West last June, Kid Cudi might be eying another joint project, but this time with a younger talent.
“Maybe one day we’ll do an album, bro,” Cudi offered. Flattered by his offer, Smith told Cudder that he needs “more albums under my belt,” before leaping towards the monstrous opportunity. “I would love to do more music with you. I remember trying to encourage you to sing. I remember you were experimenting with it and I was like, ‘Man, just sing. Just do it,'” Cudi added.
The “Pursuit of Happiness” virtuoso also expressed his adoration for Smith’s wizardry on the mic and encouraged him to remain passionate about the music going forward in his career. “My daughter is going to read this interview and see that you can do things no matter what age you are, as long as you’re passionate about it. We need more of that in the world. Why do you think people should care about sustainability,” Cudi told Smith.
In a Reddit AMA last year, Smith said that his dream collaboration would be with Kid Cudi. An emotive combination of Cudder and Smith can be lethal, if the two do follow through with their idea.
