Khalid and Normani‘s steamy love song “Love Lies” has picked up steam since its February release, and the singers brought their hit to the Billboard Music Awards stage back in May. On Wednesday (June 13), Khalid and Normani’s track got a little extra boost from Rick Ross, who added his special touch to the remix.
On the new edition of “Love Lies,” Rick Ross takes the lead and gushes about his desire to spoil a woman who has caught his eye. “You inspire so much that I write/She’s my van Gogh, such a work of art/This where my love lies in this sensitive heart,” he raps over the warm, slow-burning melody before Khalid and Normani’s original verses follow suit.
“Love Lies” was featured on the soundtrack for Love, Simon, which was released back in March. Following his collaboration with Normani, Khalid joined forces with H.E.R. for the soulful “This Way” from the Superfly soundtrack.
