R&B singer Khalid and pop country vocalist Kane Brown dropped their “Saturday Nights (Remix)” music video on Wednesday morning (Feb. 20). The song is a remix of Khalid’s track “Saturday Nights,” which was featured on his recently released and critically acclaimed EP Suncity.
Both Khalid and Kane seamlessly blend their vocals to create a harmonized rendition of the track. This collaboration comes after country singer Brown took a liking to “Saturday Nights” on social media, posting a video of himself singing the song to his fans on Twitter. A week later, Khalid reached out to Brown to work together on the official “Saturday Nights” remix.
The video opens with a nighttime scenic view of Los Angeles, as Khalid sings from a remote spot on a hill while sitting on a tree swing. Kane later joins him, singing his own verse on the mountaintop as the background changes and paints a new portrait of an orange-pink sky and the sun sets further into the horizon.
The picturesque location sets the tone for the peaceful melody and effectively conveys an overall relaxed mood.
