To honor the two-year anniversary of A$AP Yams’ passing, A$AP Rocky pulled together a huge tribute show for the second annual Yams Day at New York’s Theatre at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night (Jan. 18).
The stacked lineup featured A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Mob, Tyler the Creator, Lil Uzi Vert, Cam’ron, Danny Brown, and T-Pain. Rocky also enlisted Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and French Montana as surprise guests.
Lamar set the stage ablaze with his performance of “m.A.A.d. city” as The Weeknd sang “Low Life” (without Future) to the crowd’s enjoyment. The Toronto crooner also had some kind words for the late A$AP Yams.
“One time make some noise for A$AP Yams,” said The Weeknd. “R.I.P. That’s a brother right there. He’s for the culture. A$AP’s the culture. XO’s the culture. Make some motherf–king noise.”
