If the magnitude of Kendrick Lamar winning the Pulitzer Prize for music for DAMN. is still sinking in, join the club.
The lauded rapper, the most commercially successful musician to ever receive the award — and first non-classical or jazz artist to be honored — can add the Pulitzer to his shelf of 12 Grammys and plenty of fellow musicians and fans offered some emoji handclaps for rap’s high priest of truth.
Check out some of the congratulatory tweets from the likes of LL Cool J, Common, Bruno Mars, Ellen DeGeneres, the TDE family and even some in verse from Lorde’s mom, poet Sonja Yelich.
Check them out.
