Sources tell Rap-Up that “I” features a sample from Isley Brothers. As Rap-Up points out, Lamar told Flaunt magazine that he hasn’t been “listening to rap for the last six months. I bought the whole Isley Brothers collection.”
Lamar’s sophomore major label debut comes close to two years after the release of his critically acclaimed Good Kid, M.A.A.D City (Oct. 2012).
Top Dawg Entertainment founder, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, assured fans on Twitter that there is new material coming from Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock.
