Kelis enjoys food. That much has been known since she announced “FOOD,” her sixth LP, for an April release and included a first single titled “Jerk Ribs” — not to mention a worldwide hit in “Milkshake” in 2003.
Continuing her foodie spirit, the R&B singer will host a new cooking show on the Cooking Channel, Consequence of Sound reports.

The show, called “Saucy and Sweet,” will premiere on the channel Feb. 26 and will feature the singer’s culinary creations — “food with attitude,” a teaser on the channel’s website promises.
Her foray into TV precedes Kelis’ “FOOD” album, which is due April 21 as her first release on indie label Ninja Tune. Produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, the album exudes its culinary theme in the tracklist, with “Jerk Ribs” joined by “Breakfast,” “Cobbler,” “Fish Fry” and “Biscuits ‘n’ Gravy.”
