Kanye West has announced a 23-city trek throughout North America in support of his latest album. “The Yeezus Tour,” which is being presented by AEG Live, will open on Oct. 19 in Seattle and close out Dec. 7 in Houston, with Kendrick Lamar opening on all but five dates.
The tour will be making stops in most major outlets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Boston and New York City, where West will entertain both Brooklyn and Manhattan only four days apart (see dates and venues below).
West last toured extensively with his Watch the Throne collaborator Jay Z, in 2011, and “Yeezus” marks his first solo trek since 2008’s Glow in the Dark tour.
Tickets go on sale in select markets starting Friday, Sept. 13.
“Yeezus” the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in June, selling 327,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It marked West’s sixth No. 1 album and sixth straight chart-topper (this includes his album with Jay Z). Only his debut album, “The College Dropout,” missed the top slot.
