Despite a crushing loss to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl this year, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and Migos plan to galvanize their city through a new collaboration with Champs Sports.
As part of Champs’ “The Moment” campaign starring the explosive receiver, Migos crafted a bouncy banger dubbed “11 Birds.” The Quavo and DJ Durel-produced track finds the “Bad & Boujee” trio boasting about the Falcons’ prowess on the gridiron.
“Here go the birds,” Quavo feverishly chants on the hook. Offset then promises imminent success for the city of Atlanta: “Play like a champ/ Yeah, make every play count/ Yeah, they counted us out, we got in their mouth, took a route, and we’re out.”
“11 Birds” is also accompanied by a video. The visuals showcase the group flexing their best football moves, while also enjoying some of Atlanta’s best cooking at a Southern restaurant.
“I’m excited to feature my city in the Champs Sports campaign ‘The Moment,’ including a music video inspired by my personal journey in life and football, accompanied by a newly released track from my good friends, Migos,” Jones tells Billboard via email.
“Just like the [Under Armour] Threadborne Shift [shoes], we’re not about doing things the way they have always been done. We are looking to instead stand out, to be different and take the lead and forge our own paths in life whether through sport, music or fashion. That is what this campaign celebrates and I could not be more excited to bring this mentality and energy to life with this new film in partnership with Champs Sports and Under Armour.”
Migos also beamed about their new collaboration with Champs Sports and Jones, adding in a statement to Billboard: “Filming and recording ‘The Moment’ with Champs Sports and Under Armour and our good friend Julio Jones was special. We believe we are part of a movement today, and expressing ourselves in our own way is what this campaign is all about. The UA Threadborne Shift stands for those who take the lead on their own terms. It’s pushing boundaries between style and performance, just like we are pushing the boundaries and taking the lead with our music.”
