After causing tremors with their explosive collaboration “No English” last year, Juicy J and Travis Scott attempt to up the ante with their new record “Neighbor,” out today (Sept. 26).
Premiering on Zawe Lowe’s Beats 1 show, “Neighbor” finds Scott and Juicy trading buoyant verses over the woozy Buddah Bless tune. With a Scott-led hook and Juicy J’s ad-libs sprinkled all throughout the track, “Neighbor” has the potential to trump its 2017 predecessor. In a recent interview with Billboard, Juicy J explained how the record originally came to fruition.
“Travis called me up and reached out about hearing some new beats when he was working on Astroworld. We vibed out in the studio,” Juicy said. “On my way out, after we had been in the studio for three hours, I was like, ‘Yo, Travis, let me get a record for my new album.’ He went into his files and pulled up ‘Neighbor.'”
