In December, A$AP Ferg sent the Internet into a frenzy when he dropped the “Plain Jane (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj. However, on Tuesday (May 15), fans learned that there was an extra verse from Juicy J that didn’t make the final cut. Instead of keeping it tucked away in his arsenal, Juicy liberated his verse on Twitter for our listening pleasure.
If you recall, a snippet of Juicy’s verse was actually featured at the beginning of Ferg’s “Plain Jane” visual. In the audio shared on Twitter, we hear the expanded version, with Juicy rapping, “Either you get a death wish or a sentence/ Sell dope or you gang bang or you pimpin’.”
Juicy may have been left off the official “Plain Jane (Remix),” but his Three 6 Mafia classic “Slob on My Knob” has not only been sampled by Ferg, but by G-Eazy on “No Limit” featuring A$AP Rocky and Cardi B.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about “Slob on My Knob” earlier this year, Juicy said he wrote the record during his 11th-grade history class and saved the rap in a textbook and recorded it on a 4-track.
“Actually, my art teacher sold me the 4-track. It cost me a hundred bucks to get it,” he recalled. “I put the 4-track on top of the bed, and I had a little ol’ cheap mic and I recorded it. … You know, I had a vision to get us up out the neighborhood with my music, and we did it, man.”
