Railway commuters getting on or off at London’s St. Pancras station on Wednesday morning (Mar. 29) were given an unexpected early-morning treat: R&B star John Legend, singing a couple of his biggest hits and tickling the ivories of the piano that’s long been a fixture of the station.
Legend was there to celebrate International Piano Day — yep, news to us too — and to do some quick promo for his new album Darkness and Light, as well as its accompanying tour. Legend played his signature classics “Ordinary People” and “All of Me,” as well as the Darkness ballad “Surefire.”
Watch Facebook video of Legend’s performance below, and be sure to queue up plenty of Billy Joel and Alicia Keys for the rest of the day.
Arriving at London @StPancrasInt on @EurostarUK. Do they still have that piano there?
