While Joe Budden and Cyn Santana both starred on Love & Hip Hop: New York earlier in the series, their storylines actually never crossed paths during their tenure on the reality show. In a plot twist nobody saw coming, the couple is apparently putting the cameras back on and returning to VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York when season nine kicks off in November, as Variety reports. Budden’s manager, Ian Schwartzman, confirmed his clients’ return on Instagram.
Other celebrities reportedly slated to make an appearance for season nine include Remy Ma, Papoose, Safaree, Kimbella, Juelz Santana, Maino, Yandy, Rich Dollaz, and more.
A lot has changed since the duo’s original stint; Budden and Santana began dating in 2016 and had their first child together a year later, Lexington Budden.
It’s going to be a busy fall for Budden, who may be working more in his retirement from rap, compared to when he was locked in the studio. The Joe Budden Podcast now calls Spotify its home, and has upped recording to twice a week. Earlier this month, Budden also launched the weekly State of the Culture show with REVOLT, where he is joined by Remy Ma, Scottie Beam, and Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins for candid conversations debating topics within the hip-hop culture.
Love & Hip Hop: New York airs Nov. 26 on VH1.
