Last week, Jim Jones was arrested in Georgia’s Coweta County for various drug and guns charges while on his way to perform at a concert in Alabama. Capo stopped by The Angie Martinez Show on Monday to (somewhat) clear up his pending charges stemming from the arrest and much more.
“I have been advised that I can’t talk about the case. I can’t reply about this case just yet. One of the things that concerned me the most was I wanted to get home before my son woke up so I can speak to him before he saw it anywhere else,” Jimmy explained.
After a short police chase, Jones’ SUV was pulled over and the arresting officer believed the vehicle to be filled with smoke, as the stench of marijuana was apparent, according to Chief Deputy James Yarbrough.
A backpack was allegedly discovered by law enforcement containing marijuana, Oxycodone pills, Percocet, THC oil, a pair of pistols and $148 in cash. The Dipset rapper’s array of charges reportedly include stolen property, possession of a firearm, narcotics possession, marijuana possession and dangerous drugs to be kept in original container. Jones was released on $7,000 bail on Thursday morning, according to TMZ.
“I’m not saying anything,” Jim stated, regarding the charges against him. “I just hope people keep that same energy when my lawyer does what he needs to do to clear up everything. If anyone knows me, they know I don’t move like that.”
The conversation moved into his longstanding playful feud with 50 Cent, where he challenged the Queens native to a potential boxing match. “50, let’s shoot a fair one for some money and let’s show these dudes how to do it, man. Lets set it up, bro. Get Mayweather. He just got 3 trillion dollars. Tell Mayweather to throw us some money — 4 or 5 million a piece,” the Wasted Talent rapper proposed.
