After unleashing his “Don Queen” diss track, which Don Q has since responded to with “This Is Your King,” Tory Lanez professed his hopes to catch the attention of rap titan J. Cole. Lanez said he’d even smoke the rest of the Dreamville roster just to have the opportunity to spar with the CEO. J.I.D. stepped up Monday night (Jan. 28) to voice his displeasure with Tory for completely dismissing him and his labelmates at the ‘Ville.
“Lol I went on tour w Tory Lanes in 2016 wen he just start losing his hair, 2018 this n—a got his hair back and start losing his mind,” he tweeted.
“lolol you know you my lil brother … so I’m not gone diss u . but lets go on a song and bar out . and let the people decide who ripped it harder. and who has better bars . flows ETC . you can be first,” Lanez challenged.
“Bruh know what time I’m on, u just tryna get to cole so this really had nun to do w me but u said you’ll merk the squad, cease and desist,” J.I.D. quickly followed. “lol so shoot n—a …. the fuck … I aint taking it back . #CANADA,” the “Say It” crooner replied.
The amped up DiCaprio 2 rhymer then hopped on Instagram Live to let his fans know that he’d be heading to the studio to craft a response following his tour show “raspy voice” and all.
“I’ve been waiting on this. Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Jesus. The floodgates are open, n—a. I’m about to go on the bus and record with a raspy ass voice — I don’t even know what I want to say about this n—a. I don’t look up — I don’t know him like that. I just went on tour with this n—a and I saw how he moves,” said the fiery ATL native. “He’s not a bad guy. I’m not saying I don’t fuck with him. I fuck with Tory Lanez.
