R&B star Jeremih — whose fame skyrocketed after his 2009 smash “Birthday Sex” — reportedly received an early Christmas gift: a plea deal.
Earlier this summer, the Def Jam crooner was reportedly arrested for a misdemeanor DUI on July 17, the date of his 28th birthday. According to TMZ, he allegedly pled no contest to one count of reckless driving and struck a deal on Nov. 20 that requires him taking an alcohol and drug education course. He is also said to be on probation for two years.

“This year I’ve been on tour with J. Cole, Big Sean and YG, so I just wanted to make sure — not that I couldn’t do it without it — because I’ve been able to finesse shows without actually dropping an album for five years,” he said. “Now it’s definitely around that time to give people a whole body of work. I’ve accumulated some awesome sounds, some eclectic music, and I can’t wait ’til people hear it.”
