Taking place at The Dunes apartment in Inglewood, California — where Issa Rae’s character resides on the show — Sullivan voices her disappointment in her beau after he conveys signs of insecurity. Sitting in the bedroom, she sings about seeking freedom from her stifling relationship. “Can I get a minute get some space, man/ You been through my head, playing games man/ You be way too controlling/ Got me feeling like I can’t breathe, I can’t even hang with a homie,” she sings.
Later, a somber Tiller croons in the bathroom about his controlling nature and how he just wants his woman all for himself. “Been a long time, ain’t been home — I been away/ Work got me in and out of state/ Don’t know what you’re doing, wonder what you’re doing/ You got n—as in you’re face, I’ll never let you go to waste,” he pleads.
