One year after celebrities braved the snow to participate in the Sundance Film Festival’s version of the Women’s March, Jane Fonda, Gloria Allred, Common and Nick Offerman are set to celebrate the anniversary of the event at a justice-themed rally in Park CIty, Utah.
Sundance 2018’s Respect Rally, honoring the one-year anniversary of the National Women’s March and the March on Main event in Park City led by Chelsea Handler the same day, will take place Saturday (Jan. 20) at 10 a.m. in Park City’s City Park.
This year’s event intends to “demonstrate and voice our respect for all ethnicities, religions, genders, political and sexual orientations, to commune in respect for our land, our water and our air, and to show deference for each person’s individual experience and belief system,” the event’s organizers said Tuesday in a statement. “We take this opportunity to elevate one another’s causes, understand and respect each other’s struggles and join together in unity to heal wounds and narrow the gaps that threaten to divide us.”

Fonda, Allred and Common will be joined by rapper Daveed Diggs, writer Rafael Casal, Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski and Utah Senate candidate Jenny Wilson at the event, all of whom will either speak or perform.
Allred will be in Park City to promote the Netflix documentary about her life, Seeing Allred, which is premiering at the fest. Fonda will also be in attendance to present a doc about her life, HBO’s Jane Fonda In Five Acts, directed by Susan Lacy.
