On Tuesday night (July 18), J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyes Only Tour was postponed after the Dreamville rapper had difficulty crossing the Canadian border.
“Tour had Canadian border issues,” said Cole on Twitter. “Vancouver show tonight postponed until tomorrow. Sorry 4 any inconvenience hope you can still make it.” While the details remain sparse regarding the border issues, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena issued a statement on their website corroborating Cole’s tweets.
“Due to transportation issues at the Canadian border the following J. Cole shows are being amended. Tickets are valid for the new date in each city and refunds are available at point of purchase. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
So far, Cole’s Tour has received glowing reviews. During his two-day stop in Los Angeles last week, the sold-out crowd at The Forum were entranced by his performance. Donning his orange prison jumpsuit, Cole electrified the crowd with a sizzling 90-minute set.
Billboard reached out to Rogers Arena for additional comments.
